The German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in collaboration with the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and energiewächter GmbH has hosted an industry conference on 25 September 2017 surrounding the visit of a German business delegation, looking at German-Australian cooperation in energy efficiency for transport planning, infrastructure development and the utilities sector. The event is proudly supported by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
The promotion of renewable energies and energy efficiency in Germany has resulted in the establishment of an industry which offers some of the world’s leading technologies. This industry encompasses several thousand small and medium-sized enterprises specialised in the development, design and production of renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency solutions, grids and storage. This is the basis for smart energy solutions.
The transfer of energy expertise, the promotion of foreign trade and the facilitation of international development cooperation are part of the “energy solutions - made in Germany” initiative. In cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and energiewaechter GmbH from Berlin 63 guests were welcomed on the 25 Sep-tember at the International Convention Centre in Sydney to talk about innovative technology to deal with the challenges of smart urban planning and infrastructure. Six German companies that were part of a German trade mission to Australia and New Zealand had the opportunity to present their technology to a broader industry audience and share their practical experiences.
